Project is to build a new block/concrete house for Guadalupe's indigenous family in San Andreas Semetabaj (20 miles from Pana)
Short-term Scope: Construct a family house on family-owned land.
Long-range Scope: To determine and help meet the need for food, clothing, education and more sustainable income.
Cause: Severe poverty aggrevated by paternal alcoholism
The Need: This of 16 lives in a tin (lamina) shack which is divided into a kitchen and three bedroom. The 16 family members share five board beds. They have a dirty concrete toilet and no real bathrooms or bathing options. They cook on a wood fore and have no kitchen utensils or appliances.
