The California-Nevada Conference’s Youth and Young Adults Gathering 2019, taking place at Sacramento Japanese UMC tomorrow (Saturday, March 9), “opens an opportunity for a Solidarity Action,” according to Conference Director of Young People’s Ministry Fel Cao, “with the signing of a Statement of Support for our beloved members of our UMC community who are deeply hurt by the recent decision of the Special Called Session of The United Methodist Church General Conference.”
Rev. Cao invites young people to attend and take part in the Solidarity Action and engage in conversations about General Conference.
Other workshops will be available as well, along with 3-on-3 pickup basketball.
Rev. Samuel Yun will be the inspirational speaker, while the Praise and Worship Team from First Tongan United Methodist Church in San Bruno will lead praise singing throughout, offering a powerful witness to what God can build:
“With one keyboard player, thee singers, one drummer and one bass guitar player – who for the first time in his life picked up a bass guitar – the Praise and Worship Team was born,” according to the team’s testimony. “God continues to bless us with young people who have a heart to do God’s will.”
The Youth and Young Adults Gathering is a FREE event that begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m.
