Young People’s Statement Is Now Available for You to Sign

March 28, 2019

Earlier this month, the youth and young adults of the California-Nevada Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church generated a statement of support for members of the UMC community “failed” and “harmed” by the recent actions of the General Conference. The three dozen+ persons who signed, including Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño and other youth and young adult leaders along with the young people themselves, also promised, “We will stand by you on the difficult road ahead and we will support and affirm God’s love for you through the unforeseeable future.”

And now you can partner with them.

Fel Cao, the conference’s director of Young People’s Ministry, has opened up the campaign to allow like-minded persons in our conference and beyond to add their endorsement to the young people’s statement. The signature campaign is being hosted by Groundswell, a platform powered by Auburn Seminary in New York City (of which Bishop Carcaño is a senior fellow). Please sign the statement and share it with your social media followers.
