UMVIM Trip to Nasinu, Fiji Is Planned for Fall

March 13, 2019

A United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) construction team is being organized to participate in the construction of a new worship sanctuary by Temple Methodist Church in Nasinu, a suburb of Suva, Fiji.

The target date is Sept. 1, 2019 but is flexible, depending on those interested and available. Construction experience is preferred but not essential, as the emphasis is as much on relationship building as on the building of a physical structure.

Cost of the self-funded trip is $2500. The deadline for committing to the trip is July 1.

If you’re interested in going, contact team leader Bob Weiser at 775-560-5618 or – or Rev. Tikiko Lesuma, pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, Sacramento, at 916-395-0237 or 415-532-6686 or by emailing
