An important event, Shining Lights on a Guided Path: A Day with Brian McLaren, takes place in just one month (October 12, 2019) at Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Nevada.
The daylong symposium keynoted by the renowned Christian progressive, author, and global activist will also feature breakout sessions with innovative regional religious and community leaders, including:
- the Rev. Kim Montenegro (shown at right) – a United Methodist pastor, church planter, and trainer in cross-cultural relationship-building;
- Christina Fegert, the director of community relations at Northern Nevada HOPES – a nonprofit community health center in downtown Reno that offers integrated medical care and wellness services; and
- Rev. Dr. William Stomski, rector dean of Trinity Cathedral in Reno and an accomplished watercolorist who incorporates his art into community outreach and worship.
Shining Lights on a Guided Path will take place at Reno-Sparks Convention Center, with breakout sessions at various locations in the two cities. Carpooling to breakout sessions is advised.
The symposium will begin at 8 a.m. on Oct. 12 and conclude with a book signing session with Brian McLaren, 5:45-6:30 p.m.
