The Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center is inviting all area men to take a stand against domestic violence by participating in the 100 Men Campaign rally, Thursday, Oct. 3 at noon on the steps of Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento.
Rev. Faith Whitmore, a retired elder in the California-Nevada Annual Conference, is CEO of the Family Justice Center.
“Through greater awareness of this issue and by advocating for violence prevention at the community level, men from all walks of life are becoming part of the solution in ending what has become one of the most significant social issues in our community,” according to the 100 Men Campaign website.
And it notes, “Domestic Violence is not a socioeconomic issue. It is not a racial issue. It is definitely not a women’s issue. Domestic Violence is a community-wide issue that affects everyone no matter your gender, race, or socioeconomic status.”
Memorial Auditorium is located at 1515 J Street in Sacramento.
