The present pandemic, caused by the COVID-19 virus, has affected the ability to travel and placed restriction on large meeting, therefore, the Consejo Directivo, after assessing the new reality regarding national gatherings and in consultation with the leaders of the California Nevada Conference and leaders of the Hispanic/Latino Council of the Western Jurisdiction, made the decision to hold a virtual 2020 Annual Meeting on November of this year.
This decision was made with the full intention of holding the MARCHA Annual Meeting in the year 2022 in the Western Jurisdiction. We are very grateful to Bishop Carcaño and the California Nevada Conference for renewing their invitation to hold the 2022 MARCHA Annual Meeting in the city of Sacramento.
The 2021 Annual meeting which marks the 50th Anniversary of MARCHA will be held in San Antonio TX. The city where, in early 1970, a group of Hispanic/Latino pastors and layperson gathered to dialogue about the need of a national organization whose purpose would be to advocate for Hispanic/Latino ministries and speak to the justices issues affecting the Hispanic/Latino communities in the US.
