Last Chance: Register Now to Attend ‘Shining Lights’ Symposium with Brian McLaren

Time is running out to register for Shining Lights on a Guided Path, taking place on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Reno-Sparks Convention Center, with breakout sessions at various locations in the two cities. The daylong symposium featuring renowned Christian progressive and global activist Brian McLaren is hosted by First United Methodist Church of Reno.
A former college English teacher and pastor, McLaren is an Auburn Senior Fellow, the author of more than a dozen books, and a leader in Convergence, a mobilizing collective rooted in a just and generous Christian spirituality. This event will focus primarily on the ideas presented in his book, The Great Spiritual Migration: How the World's Largest Religion Is Seeking a Better Way to Be Christian.
The event also will feature breakout sessions with innovative regional religious and community leaders.

Carpooling to breakout sessions is advised. The symposium will begin at 8 a.m. on Oct. 12 and conclude with a book signing session with Brian McLaren, 5:45-6:30 p.m.
