Cal-Aggie Fundraiser Has 1960s Flavor

October 25, 2018

Cal Aggie Christian Association’s annual fundraiser for CA House at UC Davis, next week, will have a 1960s flavor, featuring the Beatles tribute band, “RevolutionBeat!”
Appropriately called “A Little Help from Our Friends,” the event will raise funds to support CA House’s student programs and services, and facility improvements to the Multifaith Living Community (MLC).
Supporters of the MLC and fans of The Beatles alike are invited to enjoy a pub atmosphere including live music, dancing, savory finger foods, drinks, and catering to include Davis’s celebrated Woodstock’s Pizza. It will take place on Friday, Nov. 2, 6:30-9:30 p.m., at Davis Community Church.
Since its founding in 1916, CA House has been a hub for social activism in the Davis community, and continues to honor those roots. The Multifaith Living Community was established in Fall 2008, offering intentional student living with a focus on interfaith dialogue, community building, social justice, and sustainable practices.
In the 10 years since, the MLC has navigated the challenges of intentional living in increasingly varied philosophical contexts. Residents of the community represent the diversity of UC Davis, with a mixed bag of students from religious to non-practicing, and including international, and LGBTQ+ students.
Admission to A Little Help from Our Friends is $50. A group rate of $40 is available with the purchase of 10 or more tickets.
Guests of all ages are welcome and free childcare will be available on site.
Davis Community Church is located at 412 C St Davis, CA 95616.
