Weekly Lectionary Video Reflections: Mother's Day and the loving heart of Jesus

May 07, 2020

California-Nevada conference has started offering weekly video reflections considering lectionary passages for the coming Sunday.

Posted each Tuesday,  the video reflections will feature clergy and lay leaders from across the conference sharing personal insights around Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) passages that will be read in worship on Sunday of the week.

This week Staci Current, District Superintendent of the Bay area District, reflects on John 14 and considers the loving heart of Jesus in honor of Mother's Day this Sunday May 10th. She encourages us to not let our hearts be agitated and to cling to the loving presence of Jesus.

Los Rios District Superintendent Schuyler Rhodes was featured in our first video reflection posted April 28, considering Acts 2:42-47 and the 23rd Psalm, encouraging each of us to look deeper into the what may feel like familiar comfortable texts.

Tune in every Tuesday to stay up to date on each week's reflection, which can be found on every district webpage as well as the Conference homepage.
