Former Cal-Nev young person appointed to fill vacancy in Montana legislature

Emma Kerr-Carpenter won unanimous approval among Yellowstone County commissioners Tuesday to complete the unexpired term of a representative in Montana’s House District 49 seat. Kerr-Carpenter served on the Conference Youth Council from 2003 to 2007 and was elected a delegate to the 2016 Western Jurisdictional Conference.  She was a Mission Intern, now called the Global Mission Fellow program, at the General Board of Global Ministries. Kerr-Carpenter served in Brazil with the Shade and Fresh Water program in Belo Horizonte and then was assigned in her domestic appointment to Billing, MT. (Read more)
