Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our sister, Virginia Allen, surviving spouse of Rev. Grant Allen, died on November 7, 2019.
Virginia was a faithful companion as her husband served the Sanger United Methodist Church before retiring in 1983.
Virginia was an accomplished seamstress, making fine quilts and wall hangings, many of which she donated to fundraisers in Atascadero. She loved to cook and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her son, James Stecher; by her grandchild, Terry Lynn Stecher; and by two great-grandchildren, Finn Marshall Stecher Smith and Jack Emerson Stecher Smith. She was pre-deceased by her son, David Leo Stecher, and her grandson, Matthew Jay Stecher. Her husband, Grant, died in 1992. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 4 p.m., at Atascadero United Methodist Church, 11605 El Camino Real, Atascadero, CA 93422.
