Rev. Sang En Han

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. Sang En Han, died on Nov. 15, 2022.  
 
Sang served the Berkeley, Epworth United Methodist Church and as the founding pastor of the Berkeley, Korean United Methodist Church. He retired in 2003,
 
Sang had many hobbies and interests. Notably, he was a talented saw player. He enjoyed singing tenor with the church choir and participating in numerous other musical endeavors.
 
Sang is survived by his wife, Hae Soon Han, and by his children, Susan Kim of Oakland CA, Taek Yun of Walnut Creek CA, Aaron Han of Oakland CA, and Noah Han of Albany CA, and by 6 grandchildren. 
 
A memorial service was held on Nov. 22, 2022 at Berkeley Korean United Methodist Church.
 
Gifts in memory of Sang En Han may be sent to the Berkeley Korean United Methodist Church, 303 Hudson Street, Oakland CA 94618.
 
Let us continue to give God thanks for Sang’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
