Rev. Ronald Greilich

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. Ronald Greilich, died on Saturday, March 26, 2022.
 
Ron began his ministry as a full time local pastor in the El Dorado Community Parish. After serving in the Kentucky conference as a student, he returned to the California-Nevada conference where he served Olivehurst; Shasta Dam Community; San Mateo, Hillsdale UMC; Lincoln UMC; Albany UMC; Parlier UMC; Sanger UMC; Lodi, Salem UMC; Yuba City, First; Richmond, St. Luke’s UMC; Greenfield UMC; and Soledad UMC before retiring in 1997.
 
Ron was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 21, 1932. Ron loved to hike and camp, many family vacations involved both. He led Pioneer Camp backpacking trips for middle school students for many years. He was proud to have hiked Mount Whitney. Ron also enjoyed golfing.
 
He is survived by his wife, Florence Greilich, and by his children, Rhonda Pope of Clovis CA, Cheryl Muñoz of Sanger CA, and Tim Greilich of Fresno CA, by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 
 
A memorial service for Ron will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11am at Soma Christian Church, 1519 Tollhouse Road, Clovis, CA.
 
Gifts in memory of Ron may be sent to the Pregnancy Care Center, 1127 E. Olive Avenue, Fresno CA 93728.
 
Let us continue to give God thanks for Ron’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
