Rev. Robert “Bob” Biehler

2/1/2020

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. Robert “Bob” Biehler, died on Saturday February 1, 2020.

Bob served the Guinda, Arbuckle, Orland, Pinole, Arcata, Holy Cross Stockton, and Paradise churches before retiring in 2012.

Bob was an avid gardener and loved flowers.  His yard, both front and back, were the pride of the neighborhood.  He was also a dedicated husband, traveling each day to feed his wife Nadeen breakfast and dinner in Chico where she was cared for after she was diagnosed with dementia.  Most recently, Bob was helping to restart the Paradise church after the Camp Fire.

He is survived by his wife, Nadeen Biehler, of Chico, CA. and by his sister, Barbara Widmer, his two nieces, Julie Bartholomew of Roseville, CA and Michelle Bartholomew of Redmond, OR, and his grand-niece Alexis Bartholomew and nephew Caleb Bartholomew. He was pre-deceased by his sister Joan DeLa Cruz.

Condolences may be sent to Pastor Dave Rieck, P.O. Box 1336, Willows, CA 95988.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 11:00 am at Paradise United Methodist Church. Rev. Dave Rieck and Rev. Neal Neuenburg will preside.

Gifts in memory of Bob may be sent to the Paradise Symphony Orchestra, PO Box 1892, Paradise, CA 95967 or the Paradise United Methodist Church Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, 6722 Clark Road, Paradise, CA  95969.

Let us continue to give God thanks for Bob’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
