Rev. Richard Whitmore

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, 

Retired pastor Richard Whitmore died on Monday, June 20, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; by four children: Faith Whitmore of Carmichael, Kathy Whitmore of Linwood, NJ, Rick Whitmore of Salinas, Wendell Whitmore of Paradise, and by five grandchildren. Condolences to the family may be sent to 6247 Cassady Way, Carmichael, CA 95608.

The memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, June 26, at 2 p.m., at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Sacramento. The Rev. Audrey Ward will preside.

Dick served originally in the South Georgia Conference before transferring to California-Nevada in 1953. In this Conference he served the Coleville, Smith Valley, Reno: First, Sacramento: Centennial, Santa Clara: First, Burlingame, Vallejo: First, Saratoga: Grace and San Carlos: Carlmont churches before retiring in 1989.
