Rev. Paul R. Woudenberg

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. Paul R. Woudenberg died on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Paul served churches in Southern California and Arizona churches before entering the CA-NV conference in 1975.  He then served the Carmel church before retiring in 1986.   Rev. Woudenberg had a great love for classical religious music and was known for hiring some of the best choral groups to perform at his churches.  He also loved automobiles and collected several throughout his life.  Paul participated as a judge annually at the well-known Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance car show which features 200 of the most prized collector cars in the world and wrote several books on autos featuring Lincolns, Bentleys and Aston Martins to name a few.
 
He is survived by his wife, Emily Wiltse Woudenberg, and by two children: Elizabeth “Betsy” Woudenberg of Vienna, VA  and Mary Crowill of Yarmouthport, MA; and by two grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to Emily Woudenberg at 68 Marshside Drive, Yarmouthport, MA 02675.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8 at the Dennis Union Church, 713 Main Street, Dennis, MA 02638.

Let us continue to give God thanks for Paul’s life and witness and hold the Woudenberg family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
