Rev. Mary McCollum

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our sister, Rev. Mary McCollum, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
 
Mary served St. Mark’s, Sacramento, and Exeter churches before retiring in 1999.
 
Mary was a holder of life teaching and counseling credentials providing both teaching and counseling services at Rancho Cordova and Red Bluff High Schools.  During her tenure Mary led the International Youth Exchange Program in both Sacramento and Red Bluff and an Interdenomination Education Academy for four local churches.  She was also a recipient of the Henry Denman Award in Evangelism.  Her family shares that she had a love for drawing, reading, international traveling, and music.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jenny) Murray, of Citrus Heights, CA.  Condolences may be sent to Jenny at 6431 Little River Court, Citrus Heights, CA  95621.
 
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10 am at the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church, with a reception following at St. Mel Catholic Church, 4745 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA 
 
Gifts in memory of Rev. McCollum may be sent to the Conference Claimants Endowment Board, 1341 W. Robinhood Drive, Suite A, Stockton, CA  95207.
 
Let us continue to give God thanks for Pastor Mary’s life and witness and hold her family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
