Rev. J. Donald Hougland

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. J. Donald Hougland, died on Sunday, February 4, 2018.  Pastor Don was well loved by his parishioners and is fondly remembered as being an excellent pastor.  In his free time he enjoyed reading and loved the hymn Amazing Grace.

Don served the Round Valley, Willits, Coleville, Smith, Gardnerville, Fresno: Grace, Orangeville, Roseville, Santa Cruz: Live Oak, and Bridesburg (Eastern PA conference) churches before retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hougland, and by his children, Kellie Udoutch, of Danville, CA, Penny Hougland of Lummi Island, WA, Bryan Hougland of Westport, CA, Jennifer Finds-the-Feather, of Stockton, CA, Dina Greenberg of Napa, CA, and August Foote of Folsom, CA; by fifteen Grandchildren and seven Great-Grandchildren.  Condolences may be sent to Janice Hougland at 2724 Elvyra Way, Apt. #2, Sacramento, CA  95821.

The family will have a private memorial.

Let us continue to give God thanks for our brother Don’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
