Opeti Kalausa

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Opeti Kalausa, surviving spouse of Rev. Ana Tiueti, died on July 14, 2022.  
 
Opeti was born in American Samoa and loved serving at his local church of San Bruno, First Tongan UMC. Most recently he was an active part of the church remodeling committee.
 
As the spouse of a clergy-person, Opeti experienced the Christian community and fellowship of San Bruno, First UMC; San Bruno, First Tongan UMC; and San Franciso, Hamilton UMC as Ana served these congregations.
 
He is survived by his son, Sione Kalausa of San Bruno CA, and by his five Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Rev. Ana Tiueti on Nov. 28, 2003. 
 
A memorial service for Opeti was held at San Bruno, First Tongan United Methodist Church.

Let us continue to give God thanks for Opeti’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
