Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our sister, Kathleen “Kay” Fuller, surviving spouse of Rev. Glenn Fuller, died on Monday, February 25, 2019.
Kay was a faithful companion as her husband served Shoreview in San Mateo; Greenfield; Roselawn; and Almaden Hills Churches; San Jose; Tracy; Los Altos; and Palo Alto First, before retiring in 1988. They also served as missionaries in India and Korea.
Kay was a gifted counselor, writer, and parenting educator. She shared her deep spiritual faith through retreats and Bible studies. She was a devoted advocate for peace and justice, particularly supporting peace work in Northern Ireland, where she was born. Kay helped to build summer recreation programs for women and children in farm labor camps in the San Joaquin Valley and was a tireless advocate for prisoners of conscience. Her generosity, twinkling blue eyes, sparkling personality, and attentive listening will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret “Megan” Fuller, Catherine “Cathi” Fuller, and Mary Hagan, and by six grandchildren. Glenn died in 2012. Condolences may be sent to Cathi Fuller and Megan Fuller at 323 North San Pedro Rd., San Rafael, CA 94903.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo, CA 94960.
Gifts in memory of Kay may be sent to the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Advance GCFA, PO Box 9068, New York, New York 10087-9068 (online at https://www.umcor.org/); to Amnesty International at https://donate.amnestyusa.org/page/37908/donate/; or to Smile Train at https://www.smiletrain.org/.
Let us continue to give God thanks for Kay’s life and witness and hold her family close in prayer. In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
