John William “Jack” Mueller

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, John William “Jack” Mueller, spouse of Rev. Janet Mueller, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
Jack was a faithful companion as his wife served as a hospital chaplain in Vacaville, CA and with Yolo Hospice until retiring in 2011.
Jack and Janet met at a summer musical camp in New Jersey while attending high school.  He played the French horn and she played the trumpet.  Music would become a life-long passion for him.
Jack served in the United States Air Force as a rescue pilot for 20 years then as a computer software engineer.  His music blessed those with whom he served in the Air Force.
Eventually he became a church organist and choir director.  He also played with various community instrumental groups.  Jack enjoyed telling jokes and loved woodworking. He made many pieces of furniture as well as toys for his children.
He is survived by his wife Janet of Dixon CA, and by his children Heather Banks of American Canyon CA, Jennifer Crawford of Sacramento CA, and Amy Higgins of Seattle WA, and by 3 grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to Janet Mueller at 1435 Austin Drive, Dixon CA  95620.
Gifts in memory of Jack may be sent to Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202, or to  Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat Street Americus, GA 31709-3498, or Woodland United Methodist Church, 212 Second Street, Woodland, CA  95695.
Let us continue to give God thanks for Jack’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
