Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our sister, Jean Peters, surviving spouse of Rev. Warren Peters, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017.
She is survived by two children, Barbara Pierce, of Plainfield, IL, and Helen Mauk, of Watkinsville, GA; by four grandchildren; and by three great grandchildren. Warren Peters died in 2006. Condolences may be sent to Barbara Pierce, 13480 South Mulberry Street, Plainfield, IL 60544.
A private family graveside memorial will be held in Oregon.
Jean and Warren served the Pacific Northwest, Missouri East, and Illinois Great Rivers conferences before serving in California-Nevada Conference at Sparks, Marysville, Anchorage: First (in Alaska conference), Oakland: Shattuck Avenue, and Novato churches before retiring in 1977.
Memorial gifts may be made in Jean’s name to Heifer Project International, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR, 72202, or Habitat for Humanity International, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709.
Let us continue to give God thanks for Jean’s life and witness and hold the Peters family close in prayer. In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
