Geraldine J. Wolfe

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our sister, Pastor Geraldine J. Wolfe, died on December 31, 2020.
Originally from Missouri, it was in moving to California that she responded to her call to ministry.  Geraldine served the following California churches in our Conference: Cone, Los Molinos and Trinity UMC in Anderson before retiring in 1997.
Sister Geraldine is remembered as being down-to-earth and easy to relate to.   She was passionately dedicated to pastoral care and fostering relationships with those whom she served.
She was an avid bridge player.  In her retirement she enjoyed being active in a bridge club in Redding, California.  She also became a dedicated volunteer at the Kelly Griggs House Museum in Red Bluff, California and regularly wrote historical articles and letters to the editor for the Red Bluff Daily News.
She is survived by her husband, Lester B. Wolfe, and by her children, Lyndzee D. Wolfe of Hat Creek, California, and Mark B. Wolfe of Alameda, California, and by one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to Lester Wolfe at 834 Rio Street, Red Bluff, California, 96080.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, the family is planning a private graveside memorial but ask for your prayers.
Gifts in memory of Geraldine may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at
Let us continue to give God thanks for Geraldine’s life and witness and hold her family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
