Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Retired pastor Benjamin Fong died on Monday, August 18, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Fong; by three children: Leo Fong of Los Angeles, Kester Fong of Los Altos, Fred Fong of Austin, TX, and by eight grandchildren. Condolences to the family may be sent to 13012 Coriander Drive, Austin, TX 78729.
A private memorial service was held by the family.
Ben Fong originally served in the Methodist Church of Hong Kong before transferring to California-Nevada in 1980. In this Conference he served the San Francisco First, St. John’s and Oakland, Chinese before retiring in 1993.
Margaret Fong asked that memorial gifts be made to a local United Methodist Church or organization in his name.
