Harvey Chinn

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Rev. Harvey Chinn died on Sunday, July 19, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Betty Chinn; by three children: Harvey Chinn Jr. of Bozeman, MT, Elizabeth Buford of Salem, OR, and Margaret Chinn of Montgomery Village, MD; by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 am at  Faith UMC, 3600 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Harvey spent time in both the Northern Indiana and Rocky Mountain Conferences before coming to California-Nevada in 1953.  In this conference he served Oakland, Sacramento: First, and Sacramento: Faith. Harvey also served for 25 years as the Executive Director of the California Council on Alcohol Problems. He retired from the California-Nevada Conference in 1985.
