Rev. Claude Friesen

Retired pastor Claude Friesen died on Saturday, June 4, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Alice Friesen, who resides at 761 Fano Lane, Sonoma, CA 95476; by two children, D.J. Friesen of Santa Rosa, California and Carol Friesen of Centreville, Virginia; and by two grandchildren.

The memorial service is planned for Saturday, June 11 at 11 a.m., at the Sonoma United Methodist Church. The Rev. Pam Cummings will preside.

Claude Friesen originally served in the New Jersey Conference before transferring to California-Nevada in 1957. In this Conference he served the Fresno: First, Albany, Aptos, San Jose: Almaden Hills, Chico: Aldersgate, and Sonoma churches before retiring in 1992.
