Retired pastor Edgar Nelson died on Saturday, January 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Marian Nelson, who resides at 1075 McCollum Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 29, at 12 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Yuba City. The Rev. Lois Black presided.
Edgar and Marian Nelson served the Oakland: Pioneer Memorial, Del Ray, Sonora, San Jose: St. Paul's, Mill Valley, and Yuba City: First churches before their retirement in 1985.
