Rev. Norman Callaway

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
 
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. Norman Callaway, died on October 11, 2021.
 
Rev. Callaway served the Freedom, Alum Rock San Jose, Parkside St. Francis San Francisco, Wesley Bakersfield, Oroville, Livermore, Asbury Livermore, First Sunnyvale, St. Marks Sacramento, and Tice Valley Walnut Creek churches. He retired in 1991.
 
Norman was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was a voracious reader who also enjoyed cross word puzzles, coffee, and Tabasco Sauce.  He was a committed volunteer with the Woodland City Library. Norm and his wife Ardith were married for 69 years.
 
He is survived by his children, Ellen Cundiff of Sacramento CA, Susan Ogawa of Sanger CA, Carol Head of Lincoln University PA, and Stephen Callaway of Hillsboro OR, by 8 beloved Grandchildren and 6 beloved Great-Grandchildren (three of whom were born in the last six months.) He was pre-deceased by his wife Ardith in 2019. Condolences may be sent to Ellen Cundiff at 6018 Sandlin Way, Sacramento, CA 95819.
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at the Woodland United Methodist Church.  The service will be livestreamed on the Woodland UMC YouTube channel, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/c/WoodlandUnitedMethodistChurch/featured
