Rev. E. Julius Davis

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It is with deep sadness that we inform you that our brother, Rev. E. Julius Davis, died on March 2, 2021.

Julius began his ministry in the New York East conference, transferring into the California Nevada conference in June of 1961. In our conference he served the following churches in California: First UMC Fresno (Associate), Caruthers, Parlier, Orangevale, Marina and Seaside, Rio Linda, Highlands UMC in Clearlake, Greenfield, El Camino and Corning until retiring in 1988.

Brother Julius was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Catherine, who died in 1992. He later remarried and is survived by his wife, Carolyn Davis. Condolences may be sent to Carolyn at 259-A Anakiwa Road R.D. 1, Picton 7281, New Zealand.  

Let us continue to give God thanks for Julius’s life and witness and hold his family close in prayer.  In our living and in our dying, we belong to God! (Romans 14:8)
