The Office of Congregational Development’s Healthy Church Initiative (HCI) is pleased to host “Discipleship Is Everything,” February 22-23 at the Conference Center in West Sacramento, California. Discipleship is at the heart of the mission of The United Methodist Church. Developing a church-wide discipleship system and process are keys for a church to become vital in mission and ministry.
This two-day event is specifically designed for pastors and teams from local churches. Day One will be focused on pastors thinking strategically and critically about their own church’s discipleship process. Day Two, with your team present (2-4 people), will dig deeper into implementing a discipleship system in your local church. This event is specifically designed for pastors on Day One, joined by their teams on Day Two.
Our leader for this event is The Rev. Nicole Reilley, Senior Pastor of Valencia UMC in Valencia, CA. Rev. Reilley is a certified coach, mentor, pastor, and leader. She formerly served as the Director of New Ministries for the California-Pacific Annual Conference and is deeply versed in the issues facing pastors and churches in the West. Her expertise in discipleship systems is framed by the work of Mike Breen and the 3DM movement.
The cost for the event is $100 per church. This includes the pastor on Day One and the entire team on Day Two. A reduced fee of $50 per church applies if pastor and team need to participate remotely via Zoom.
