Mission u is annual mission education historically sponsored by the United Methodist Women and this year co-sponsored cooperatively with the Conference Committee on Mission Service.  Mission u features national leaders who are experts in the study areas.

The four studies for this year are

  • Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom: Living into the Church’s Moral Witness through Radical Discipleship,
  • Finding Peace in an Anxious World,
  • Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools, and
  • Becoming Peacemakers in a Culture of Violence, a study for youth.
Mission u helps prepare us to develop the expertise, confidence and voice to boldly advocate for change in a world where racial justice and moral witness are calling us to action.
We prepare for faithful living and action by participating in Mission u with Biblically-grounded curricula intended to motivate, inform and enrich our commitment to be in mission and ministry.

Martha serves as the UMW Mission Coordinator for Education and Interpretation for the California-Nevada Conference and is the dean for Mission u 2021.
