Lay Missioner Training (First Encounter) January 22

The California-Nevada Conference in partnership with the National Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministry will offer its first Lay Missioner Training in 2022. This will be an online training that seeks to equip committed lay people called to work as a team in a specific church or community ministry. The training will offer biblical, theological and basic practical tools in a bilingual format.

The training involves two Encounters, each with lessons and activities done on one’s own schedule and attendance in four virtual sessions.

The virtual sessions are held on the following Saturdays from 10am-noon for the respective Encounters.
First Encounter: January 22, 2022 • February 5, 2022 • February 19, 2022 • March 5, 2022
Second Encounter: March 26, 2022 • April 9, 2022 • April 23, 2022 • May 7, 2022

The training is for those who wish to minister with Hispanic/Latino communities. The training is not only for those who speak Spanish but also for those who speak English. The online content is translatable into English and the virtual sessions are led by bilingual facilitators.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? California-Nevada Conference participants will pay $20 per Encounter. A scholarship can be requested to cover the cost for persons with financial hardship.
