The General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) held the first quarterly board meeting of their year this morning, February 19 2021. Items reported out in a subsequent press release included the 2020 giving and status of general church apportioned funds and those conferences that paid 100% apportionments in 2020.
California-Nevada was among the 18 jurisdictional conferences to pay 100% of our apportionments in 2020 making it the 4th straight year our conference has paid 100% of our share to the missions of the United Methodist Church.
"I am so very grateful for the connectional commitment of our Conference," shared Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño. "I am proud of our local churches, pastors and district superintendents who worked diligently so that God’s people could bring forth their tithe for the sake of the mission and ministry of our world-wide church. I am also thankful for our Council on Finance and Administration who has with great care, administratively shepherded our stewardship. Above all, thanks be to God for God’s faithfulness!"
