The Conference Committee on Filipino American Ministry (CCFAM) through its young people's ministry most commonly known at Christmas Institute is offering exciting opportunities during the month of July. The following is a listing and description of those events and how to join and be a part of the exciting work sponsored by CCFAM.
Young People's 2nd Virtual Worship on July 12th at 4 pm.
We invite you to join us for our second virtual Christmas Institute worship service: Sunday, July 12th from 4PM-5PM via Zoom. The theme for this second virtual worship, "Finding Peace in an Anxious World," is drawn from the 2020 Spiritual Growth Study by staff of the Urban Village Church, uses the book of Proverbs and “The Serenity Prayer'' as a guide to help Christians find their way through anxiety, worry, and fear and move towards God's peace that surpasses all understanding. This book is one of the resources for the United Methodist Women. The speaker for the Young People's virtual worship is Ellen Dizon, a Deaconess in our California-Nevada Conference who is one of the lay leaders at Pinole United Methodist Church.
This service will center around conversations regarding mental health in youth and young adults, reclaiming the light of which we are worthy, and finding peace in an ever anxious world. During the ongoing fight for justice, our faith requires action—our LOVE requires action. But to sustain it within us, it asks that we also give ourselves permission to rest, recover, and heal. We want to remind you that wherever you are on your journeys of becoming, you are not alone.

LIFETALKS July 13th at 6:30p PDT
LIFETALKS are small group discussions in which young people share their thoughts and experiences. Please join us for our bi-weekly discussion about life and how we are affected by what is going on in the world. Our hope is to create a safe space for us to vent, decompress, and gain support in open conversation and spiritual growth with one another. This week's topic relates to the theme of our CI Virtual Worship Service: "Finding Peace in An Anxious World" -- a discussion about anxiety in these uncertain times.
