Apply now: Sierra Service Project volunteer participation grants available

Sierra Service Project (SSP)  has worked with communities throughout the Western US to complete needed home repairs and empower youth volunteers since 1975.  In early February SSP will start awarding scholarships to aid volunteers with the cost of participating in its programs.

In addition to the general scholarship fund, region-specific funds are available for:

·        Youth from California’s Alameda and Contra-Costa counties

·        Volunteers from Central Valley District churches in the California-Nevada United Methodist Conference are also encouraged to apply for scholarships to attend SSP.

This application process takes place directly through the District Union. Contact Mark.Wharff@cnumc.org with questions.

Even if you are not yet registered to participate in SSP’s summer 2022 program yet, you are welcome to submit an application for scholarships to attend. Deadline for priority scholarships is February 1.

Contact Veronica.Russell@SierraServiceProject.org with any questions about SSP’s programs, scholarships available, or how to apply!
