By God’s grace, this year we will be returning to celebrating our 174th California-Nevada Annual Conference Session in June and in-person! Scheduled for June 10-13, 2022, we will gather at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, CA.
Through prayer and the consideration of holy scripture, our Commission on the Annual Conference Session was moved by Romans 12 to consider what it means to release love into the world. Let Love Be, will be our Conference Session theme and Dr. Jeffrey Kuan will be our Bible Study leader.
Our main Conference Offering will be dedicated to the Tongan Relief work. Our Western Jurisdiction College of Bishops is calling all our Conferences to work together to respond to the needs of our beloved brothers and sisters in Tonga as they face recovery after the recent earthquake and tsunami natural disasters.
A jurisdictional disaster recovery assistance plan is being developed in close consultation with the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga. Donations for this effort may be sent even now to our Annual Conference Treasurer’s office with the notation “Tongan Relief.” Let our love be generous. We will track your gifts and celebrate the generosity of our conference when we gather in June.
We continue to learn how to keep one another safe in the COVID pandemic and will be practicing safety protocols.
Let’s pray for our 174th California-Nevada Annual Conference Session. Let’s begin to study Romans 12 and invite the Holy Spirit to teach us what it means to Let Love Be.
It will be such a blessing to be together in June!
