The Refugee/Immigration/ Sanctuary Task Force of St. Mark's UMC Sacramento, along with ACT (Area Congregations Together) is offering an Immigration/DACA Forum and Workshop on Sat. Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church located at 2391 St. Mark's Way, Sacramento. There will be a presentation by Attorney Sharron Williams from Justice Immigration Legal Services, assisted by Attorney Gina Manchiati. The Rev. Michael Yoshii of Buena Vista UMC will be speaking about their current experience as a sanctuary church. There will be personal testimonies by some individuals who have been impacted by recent immigration policies. Immigration lawyers will be present and available to offer assistance to those needing it in the following areas: completing citizenship applications, filling out DACA renewals, and notary for guardianship documents.
