Battle of the Bands & Adobo Cook-Off

On Thursday June 1st, from 6pm-9pm at Berkeley UMC, 1710 Carleton, Join the Cal-Nev Philippine Solidarity Task Force in raising support for the 2017 Pastoral Solidarity Visit to the Philippines, with the Battle of the Bands & Adobo Cook-Off. Bands will Battle, while raising funds to support this years solidarity trip, learn about current issues in the Philippines, why delegates are going, and eat and vote for the best Adobo. Battle of the Bands line up: Dirty Boots Digma Salami Rose Joe Louis Leila Sweetleaf Chris Moss Wilson Wong and The Dudes Since 2007, the California-Nevada Philippine Solidarity Task Force of the UMC has been working In partnership with NCCP (National Council of Churches in the Philippines) in solidarity against Human Rights abuses and for sovereignty, self-determination, and the end to injustice in the Philippines. The Cal-Nev PSTF regularly sends delegates to the Philippines to be exposed to the realities on the ground and to build relationships with Peoples organizations, following the call to act on our faith. This is a ministry of presence, witness, and accompaniment towards a just and lasting peace.
