UMs Turn out in Huge Numbers for SacPride Parade


Around 180 United Methodists from 11 churches were expected to take part in Saturday's Sacramento Pride Parade. Instead, more than 300 UMs, representing 15 churches, participated "to let people know we are inclusive and loving congregations,” as Doug Treadwell put it. Treadwell, chair of the Welcoming Team at First United Methodist Church in Sacramento, coordinated the UM churches' participation. Read June 6 story, UMCs Unite for Sacramento Pride Parade.
