Register by Dec. 15 for ‘Game Changers’ Immigration Justice Seekers Training for Young Adults

12/4/2019

The National Federation of Asian American United Methodists (NFAAUM), in partnership with the General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR), is offering an immigration justice seekers training for young adults, in the new year.

“Game Changers” training will be held Monday, April 13 to Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in San Diego.

The registration deadline is December 15, 2019.

Immigration justice is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Through this training, young adults – ages 18 to 36 – will develop advocacy skills through the lens of their faith traditions. They also will have an opportunity to form new friendships and build relationships with other ethnic communities.

Hotel and food expenses for attendees will be covered.

Apply to attend through the Facebook event page at Facebook/groups/justiceseekerstraining or the website www.ImmigrationJusticeTraining.com.

A NFAAUM member must submit an RSVP on behalf of the applicant, and the NFAAUM member congregation must arrange transportation for attendee and commit to fundraising to cover some of the travel cost (NFAAUM can assist, as well).
