Deadline Nears for Clergy Boundary Training Registration
Clergy of the California-Nevada Annual Conference are to take Clergy Boundary Training once a quadrennium, and registration closes next week (Friday, April 26) for the next course – Clergy Boundary Training 201, being offered May 1, 2019, at Davis United Methodist Church.
Prerequisite: Clergy Boundary Training 101, formerly known as Clergy Sexual Ethics Boundary Training.
This training will focus on maintaining healthy boundaries with the Internet, social media, finance, attraction, and/or self-care
It will feature a review of power and vulnerability and the joy of boundaries
Join your colleagues and explore the many dilemmas pastors, church staff, congregational leaders, and parishioners face in their relationships.
Presenters Brandon Austin and Kathryn Dunning have been trained by the Faith Trust Institute to lead: Healthy Boundaries 201—Beyond the Basics. The training includes a workbook, DVD presentations, and discussion.
Date, Time & Location: Wednesday, May 1, 2019; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Davis UMC, 1620 Anderson Road, Davis CA 95616.
Target Audience: All those serving under appointment and assignment (elders, deacons, TBAs, provisioners, local pastors, certified lay speakers, etc.), church staff, youth leaders, SPRC members, Sunday School teachers, and others in position of leadership in church and appointment settings.
Sponsored by the Council on Clergy Development Council, California-Nevada Annual Conference. Cost: $55. Includes lunch, a workbook, and .75 CEUs in the Area of Clergy Boundaries for those serving under appointment.
