California-Nevada COVID guidelines for ACS 21 participants
As we look forward to gathering as a conference family October 29-31 at the SAFE Credit Union Conference Center in Sacramento, the Commission on the Annual Conference is mindful that infections due to the Delta variant of the COVID virus are on the rise in both California and Nevada. Out of an abundance of care and caution, the Commission has adopted the following guidelines to protect the safety and well-being of all attendees:
  • In-person participation will be limited to clergy and elected lay members of the ACS, a small staff group of essential workers, and a limited number of family members of those whom we will be memorializing; no additional visitors, or guests, will be allowed in the meeting space;
  • All in attendance are required to be fully vaccinated and present valid documentation of their vaccination at check-in and wear facemasks during all in-door sessions and events;
  • There will be no on-site display tables, instead, groups will be invited to create a virtual presence that will be highlighted on the ACS 21 page;
  • Conference related committees, agencies and organizations are strongly urged to refrain from sponsoring indoor meal events.
As in past years, the conference will be live streamed so that those not attending in person may join virtually.

If you have any questions about these guidelines and what they mean for your participation, please contact your District Superintendent for clarity. Please know, the Commission will continue to assess and revise these guidelines as the evolving nature of this situation requires.
