Katherine Parker at Lafayette UMC
The public is invited to a talk given by Katherine Parker, a water microbiologist serving as a United Methodist missionary in Nepal, on July 28, 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary, Lafayette UMC. Katherine hikes to various remote villages, where her work as a General Board of Global Ministries missionary includes visiting schools to conduct workshops on sanitation, drinking water, women’s self-reliance, and other hygiene and safety issues. She serves with the United Mission to Nepal, an ecumenical organization. Katherine will share how what she does transforms the larger community—not only in her mission field and not just in the lives of Christians. Click this link
