We are called to the ministry and anointed for service. As we answer this unique calling we experience the celebrations & challenges of ministry in today’s America in many different ways.   Bishop Carcaño calls the Orders to gather this January for a time of retreat, learning, and strengthening relationships with one another as we continue on the journey of ministry with our congregations, our communities and our conference. In keeping with our Book of Discipline the Bishop’s invitation extends to the Orders of Clergy listed here: Elders, Deacons, Provisional Members, Commissioned Members, Licensed Local Pastors serving under appointment, retired clergy of the CA/NV Annual Conference, and Clergy of other annual conferences as well as Ministers of Other Denominations who are serving in the CA/NV Annual Conference.

Let’s share together, as we explore “What Gives us Hope?” We will hear from our colleagues, Corazon Moran Luna and Mary Maaga as they share with us stories of hope. Fel Cao, Director of Camping and Retreat Ministries and Young People’s Ministry and Jorge Domingues, Executive Director of Connectional Ministries will share with us their vision for their work among us. Bishop Minerva Carcaño will lead us in Holy Communion and also a time of sharing as she has in past Gatherings. Through worship and workshops, small groups and new experiences, we will be reaffirmed in our covenant relationships and the endless possibility of ministry.  On Wednesday evening, we will follow the “Star of Hope” to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall for relaxed dining, fun photo booth, contra dance, and other entertainment by and with your colleagues! Come and share joy and hope in these uncertain times.”

This retreat is eligible for .75 CEUs  under Professional Development.

Make plans now to get away in January for this special time of renewal with Bishop Carcaño and your colleagues. Scholarships will be available when registering online.  Scholarships of $100 will also be available for retired clergy through RCA.

The deadline for registration is January 7, 2019. Late registrations will not be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: there is registration for meals and program and a separate one for lodging.
