Greetings on behalf of your Conference Committee on Mission Service!
 
It was a challenging January in Northern California.  The earthquake in Humboldt County caused significant damage.  The record statewide storms impacted scores of communities, especially flood damage.  Your Cal-Nev Conference Disaster Response Ministry deployed volunteer teams, offered financial assistance, and provided relief supplies.
 
Teamed with local United Methodist Churches in Eureka, Merced and Lodi we have a continuing commitment to assist with disaster recovery.  As described in these linked reports, our focus is on low-income households, seniors, and agricultural workers:  California-Nevada Conference of The UMC | Humboldt Earthquake Response Continues (cnumc.org) and  California-Nevada Conference of The UMC | Merced – So Many Flooded Homes (cnumc.org).
 
Your support in our efforts is so appreciated.  Donations to the Conference Disaster Response Fund can be made by mail to the Conference Office or online at California-Nevada Disaster Response Fund (brtapp.com).
