Purpose
The Committee on the Standing Rules annually reviews the rules and proposes revisions and additions as needed to facilitate the work of the annual conference, and the work of its various agencies. It is charged with assuring that all conference rules are in compliance with the current Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church. In the year following the General Conference, the committee will request of each agency, board, or commission, of the annual conference any revisions that are recommended to comply with changes in The Book of Discipline.
