As first point of contact for all visitors to the church office, the office manager is an integral part of the ministry and staff of First United Methodist Church, San Leandro. The office manager maintains a welcoming environment in the church office. The office manager supports and serves as administrative assistant to the pastor, who is the office manager’s immediate supervisor. The office manager will also work cooperatively with other church staff, congregational leaders, and volunteers. The office manager is responsible for preparation and publication of various items: weekly bulletin, bimonthly newsletter, and other communication items. The office manager will maintain an updated social media presence for the church, including weekly updates to the website and church calendar. The office manager must demonstrate a knowledge of, or willingness to learn, United Methodist administrative rules, structures, and methods.

Position starts mid-August 2019. Salary is approximately $17/hr.
