Downs Memorial is in need of a part-time Full Charge Bookkeeper who will be responsible for keeping records of financial transactions for Downs Memorial UMC, using a calculator and church management software, called Power Church. Additionally, this position is responsible for verifying and entering into ledgers Downs' detail-financial transactions.
Other duties include handling Payroll utilizing ADP systems. The bookkeeper must be detail-oriented, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy working with a diverse group of people.
Preferred Education and Training Requirements: Minimum high school education, with emphasis on business math; bookkeeping - using business accounting software; and five (5) years of bookkeeping work experiences. Junior college or business school graduate desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Excel is essential; knowledge and experience with Power Church or similar program is desired. Payroll experience is desirable. An aptitude for mathematics and the ability to concentrate on details are basic requirements.
The 15-17 hours per week position is part-time and is not benefit eligible.
