POSITION DESCRIPTION: Administrative Assistant for Embrace Church TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Part Time, Paid Staff Member (with possible growth opportunities) COMPENSATION/PAY: $18 to $20 Per Hour, TBD based on Experience COMMITMENT & LOCATION: Est. 20 Hours Per/Week @ 1411 Oak Street - Alameda, CA 94501 ABOUT US: EMBRACE is Christ centered church building a community of believers who desire to build a life with God and with each other. JOB SUMMARY: Providing overall administrative support for Embrace Church Reports to the Lead Pastor & Leadership Team POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Help support, coordinate, communicate between various ministry programs and leaders • Sorting and distribution of all incoming mail, electronic and postal • Design, format, and prepare print materials, such as handouts, rosters, and meeting agendas. • Printing and preparing necessary paperwork and reports (Sunday worship bulletins, occasional newsletters, weekly electronic updates), and other publications as needed. • Monitor office supplies and re-order as necessary • Maintain a professional office/church presentation that is organized and welcoming. • Maintain church and pastor's calendars (Google Calendar) • Coordinate facility logistics for classes and events including; room reservations and setup, preparing signage, ordering supplies, and making catering, parking, and childcare arrangements • Provide ongoing database and task lists to support, update, and maintain all programs/groups • Support accounting for programs/events, including collecting payments, processing check requests, purchase orders, and refunds, tracking receipts, etc. for staff and volunteers. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Works well independently in a small office environment as well as in public arenas • Self-directed with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects • Strong oral and written communication skills, including good e-mail and proofreading skills • Experience with graphic/design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus • Excellent interpersonal and people skills with the ability to work graciously and collaboratively with staff, ministries, and volunteers, an overall team player with the ability to maintain confidential information as required • 1 to 2 years of administrative/office experience a plus • Web/Internet savvy and able to use: Mac iOS, Mac based software, Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), WordPress for website updates, Google Drive and Docs, and familiarity with using database programs TO APPLY: Please submit your resume and a brief description of why you are interested in this position to Pastor Sam Yun at
